A 16-year-old girl from Orcutt tumbled off the trail and to the rocks 50 feet below in the Pirate’s Cove area early this morning.
She was reportedly walking with relatives to the beach around 2 a.m. when she lost her footing, according to the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office.
Using ropes and a litter, Cal Fire crew and sheriff’s deputies rescued the girl.
She was taken to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center with trauma to her face and complaints of abdominal pain.
