Additional attacks on employees occurred at Atascadero State Hospital over the weekend, according to information released Tuesday.
On Saturday, an employee was reportedly assaulted by a patient, and staff responded to the incident, ASH spokesman Craig Dacus said. A separate attack followed Sunday in which staff also intervened, he added.
Dacus did not disclose the employees’ names or positions, their injuries or where in the hospital the assaults took place.
No arrests were reported in either case.
The incidents follow two other assaults on employees reported last week at the high-security facility in southeast Atascadero that treats mentally ill inmates from the correctional system and other violent offenders.
The information on recent attacks is the result of daily checks by The Tribune on violence at the facility.
