Wood-burning stove caused fire that destroyed Templeton home

UPDATE 12:48 p.m. Tuesday: A wood-burning stove caused the fire that destroyed a house in Templeton on Saturday afternoon, a Cal Fire dispatcher said Tuesday.

Further details on what specifically happened, or what room the stove was in, were not immediately available.

No one was injured in the fire, but one person was taken to Twin Cities Community Hospital for observation.

Original story: A two-story house in Templeton's Hidden Valley Ranch Estates was destroyed in a fire Saturday, according to Cal Fire.

While no one was injured in the fire, one person was taken to Twin Cities Community Hospital for observation.

The cause of the fire is unknown and under investigation.

The fire was initially reported at 3:16 p.m. Saturday. When fire units arrived on the scene on the 2300 block of Quail Road, the house was fully enveloped in flames.
