Clerks cited for allegedly selling alcohol to minors at 8 Morro Bay businesses

Clerks at eight businesses in Morro Bay were cited by authorities for allegedly selling alcohol to minors after teens were used in a minor decoy operation.

The businesses where the clerks worked were Valero, AM-PM, Mobil, Lighthouse Liquor, Bella Vinos, Lucky 7 Market, Del Mar Market and The Port. The clerks were given misdemeanor citations for allegedly selling alcoholic beverages to a minor.

The operation, conducted on Thursday, was led by an agent with the California Alcoholic Beverage Control department and included help from Morro Bay police.
