San Luis Obispo County residents can now use an interactive website to design drought-tolerant landscapes for their home or business.
The tool allows users to browse hundreds of photos of local landscapes and then zoom in on a selected plant.
Detailed plant photos and plant information are displayed, and users can create a customized plant list.
Additional resources such as information on soil preparation, planting, efficient irrigation techniques and watering guides for the county’s different climate zones are also available.
The website, sponsored by all seven cities in the county, is available at http://www.slowaterwiselandscaping.com.
