Eleven people freed from elevator in San Luis Obispo

Eleven people got stuck in an elevator at the Palm Street parking structure in downtown San Luis Obispo for about 45 minutes, according to the San Luis Obispo Fire Department.

The elevator malfunctioned around 7 p.m. and was out of service for about 45 minutes until firefighters and an elevator maintenance man were able to rescue them.

No one was injured in the incident.

The cause of the malfunction is unknown.
