Signs aimed at pet owners going back up in Grover Beach park thanks to anonymous donation

A few local residents anonymously donated $250 to the Grover Beach Parks and Recreation Department to reinstall signs in city parks that had been stolen or broken.

The signs are targeted to pet owners, asking them to pick up after their pets and keep them on a leash, according to a news release from the department.

“In these tough economic times, donations of this sort are greatly appreciated,” Parks and Recreation Director Kathy Petker said. “These community volunteers took the lead to keep their local parks safe and clean.”
