Santa Rosa Creek Road is closed about seven miles east of Cambria because of damage caused by weekend rains, San Luis Obispo County Public Works announced this morning.
Rain runoff damaged a 7-foot diameter culvert. Repairs are expected to begin next week after permits are issued, but the road will not reopen to through traffic until late February at the earliest, according to the county.
The scenic rural road, a favorite of bicyclists, runs from Cambria through the Santa Lucia range to Highway 46.
