A day of free electronic recycling next month will help fund new technology for the Paso Robles school district.
On Feb. 11, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the public is welcome to drop off computer monitors, laptops, televisions, computer towers, printers, stereo systems, keyboards, cellphones and all other electronic devices at the Paso Robles Teacher Center, 2900 Union Road in Paso Robles. The community electronic recycling drive does not entail any disposal or dropoff fees. And money raised from recycled materials will be used to purchase new technology for the school district, which is facing a budget shortfall because of declining enrollment and reductions in state funding.
Household appliances will not be accepted during the recycling event.
