Seven vehicles burglarized in San Luis Obispo, police say

Seven car burglaries were reported around San Luis Obispo on Friday, according to police.

The vehicles were burglarized sometime between Thursday night and Friday morning, San Luis Obispo police said in a news release. Four of the burglaries occurred near Oceanaire Drive, two happened in the area of Foothill Boulevard and Patricia Drive, and one was on Tank Farm Road.

All the items stolen had been left in plain view, police said. In five of the burglaries, a window was broken, and a convertible top was cut open in another burglary. In the other burglary, the vehicle had been left unlocked.

The stolen items include two purses, two wallets, a camera bag, a backpack, a video security system and a duffel bag, according to police.

San Luis Obispo police are reminding residents to keep valuables out of sight, lock their vehicles and report any suspicious activity immediately.
