San Luis Obispo police are investigating a 19-year-old woman’s report that she was attacked by three men who tried to rape her.
A police news release said the woman was walking at 6 p.m. Tuesday on the bike path between the 100 block of California Boulevard and the Mustang Village housing complex. While walking along, the woman said, she was attacked from behind by the men and forced to the ground.
“While on the ground the victim believed the suspects were attempting to sexually assault her,” the news release said. As a bicyclist approached on the path, the men stopped and ran away, the woman told police.
