San Miguel Scene: Changing of the guard at firehouse

San Miguel Fire Chief Roland Snow officially retires from the job Friday.

When asked what he would do with all his free time, he said he and his wife have plenty to do. They own Chanticleer Bed and Breakfast and Vineyard.

Our new fire chief, Rob Roberson, is a hometown man. He has a new assistant, Kelly Dodds. Both are longtime firefighters here and know the job and the area well.

Happy retirement, Roland! Welcome Chief Roberson and Assistant Chief Dodds.

The Parish Community Hall at Mission San Miguel is closed until approximately mid-February so the floor can be replaced because of discoloration. The work is being done at no cost to the parish. Busy Bees Bingo will resume when the hall reopens.
