CHP officers are investigating a minor-injury crash involving a CHP officer's patrol car and a Ford Mustang that happened in the Edna Valley area earlier this afternoon.
The collision was reported about 12:40 p.m. on Orcutt Road near Morretti Canyon Road, said CHP spokesman J.W. Townsen. Officers are still investigating how the crash happened and who is at fault, he said.
The officer, who was not identified, was taken to a local hospital.
Two people were in the Ford Mustang, which had moderate damage to its front end, Townsen said. The patrol car, a Ford Crown Victoria, had minor to moderate damage on its left rear door, corner panel and trunk.
