Stabbing in Paso Robles leaves two men injured

A 25-year-old man was stabbed late Tuesday night in Paso Robles in an altercation police are saying could be gang related.

According to a news release from the Paso Robles Police Department, Thomas Yanez sustained stab wounds to his chest. Officers found him at the Economy Inn, 2218 Spring St., at 10:25 p.m. Yanez was taken to Twin Cities Community Hospital and remains in the intensive-care unit.

Witnesses saw another man in a fight with Yanez, and the second individual is believed to be Michael Reyes, 27. Witnesses said he had stab wounds to his neck and face. Reyes has not yet been found by investigators.
