Correction: Because of incorrect information from the Police Department, an earlier version of this story said PG&E was working on the gas leak. The Gas Co., not PG&E, supplies natural gas to the city of San Luis Obispo.
A gas line leak on Highland Drive in San Luis Obispo has the Police Department asking people to stay out of the area.
The rupture took place about 11:50 a.m. today near the 400 block of Highland, and crews are currently on the scene to conduct repair work that’s estimated to take two to three hours.
No evacuations are anticipated. But pedestrian and vehicular traffic will be diverted from the area near Highland and Ferrini Road as well as Highland and Cuesta Drive.
