A portion of East Branch Street will be closed to vehicles for a few hours Monday while children participate in a Halloween event in the Arroyo Grande Village.
Village merchants will hand out treats to children from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday.
To ensure safety, East Branch Street will be closed to vehicle traffic from 2 to 6 p.m., according to a news release from the Arroyo Grande Police Department.
Intersections and major driveways on East Branch Street, including Bridge Street north of Olohan Alley , Short Street, the Car Corral and Nevada Street, will also be closed to vehicle traffic during the same hours.
No parking will be allowed on East Branch Street from Traffic Way to Mason Street, and at the corner of Mason and Nelson streets during the same time period.
Drivers will be directed onto an alternate route on Traffic Way, Nelson Street and Mason Street.
