A Pennsylvania man’s condition was upgraded to serious from critical today, 17 days after he was hurt and his wife was killed in a traffic accident north of San Simeon.
Peter Fuller, 61, of Pennsylvania remains at Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center, hospital spokesman Ron Yukelson said this afternoon.
Jeffrey Lachance, 55, of Paso Robles faces a charge of vehicular homicide with gross negligence for attempting what the CHP said was an unsafe pass that led to the death of Joan Fuller, 63, on Oct. 10.
Lachance is free on bail.
