UPDATE: Two people stuck on cliff at Ragged Point have been rescued

No details were available on how rescuers brought the man and woman to the top, nor how they ended up stuck. County/Cal Fire has not disclosed their names or their hometowns.

Original story: County/Cal Fire reports that rescuers are on their way to a couple stuck halfway down a cliff at Ragged Point near the San Luis Obispo-Monterey county line.

A man and woman are needing help getting back up, Cal Fire reported in its Twitter feed about 12:15 p.m.

The hikers weren’t injured, Cal Fire said.

The agency says its multi-disciplinary technical rescue team and a rescue squad are heading to the scene, and a California Highway Patrol helicopter is assisting.
