The deadline to apply for a spot on the Paso Robles Municipal Airport's advisory committee is 5 p.m. Oct. 28.
The committee acts as an advisory group to the Paso Robles City Council and airport staff on aeronautical activities, proposed uses and safety of operations of the site off Highway 46 East.
Three seats are open: two full-time and one alternate, each for two-year terms.
The city-run airport doesn't serve commercial flights. But private pilots, in addition to military, air charter, air ambulance and other flying services, operate there on a regular basis. Its industrial building complex also houses nearly 40 individual businesses, providing more than 700 jobs in the community, according to the city.
