UPDATE 6:11 p.m.: The child ingested the cocaine orally because the drug was "left out where he could get to it," according to police.
The boy was showing symptoms of being under the influence of cocaine when officers arrived. Authorities are still investigating the incident.
Original story: Three North County residents were arrested Wednesday on suspicion of felony child endangerment after an 18-month-old boy ingested an unknown amount of cocaine.
The Atascadero police and fire departments responded to an apartment on the 9300 block Bocina Lane at about 10:38 a.m. Wednesday after the child's mother called for an ambulance.

The child, whose name was not disclosed, was taken to Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton for treatment. He was also placed in protective custody with San Luis Obispo County Child Welfare Services, according to police.
Those arrested were Daniel Sanchez, 26, of Atascadero; Priscilla Tabarez, 20, of Atascadero; and Isaac Tabarez, 18, of Paso Robles. All three were booked into County Jail, where they remained late Wednesday in lieu of $100,000 bail apiece.
Priscilla Tabarez and Sanchez were identified as the boy's parents. Isaac Tabarez, also at the apartment, was identified as Priscilla Tabarez's brother.
Details on the child's condition weren't immediately available Wednesday.
