Special treat at Farmers Market

A drawing for the tickets to Savor the Central Coast — first prize — and the Farmers Market Basket — second prize— to benefit Lillian Larsen School will be held Saturday at Templeton Farmers Market at 11 a.m.

Tickets are still on sale today, tomorrow and Saturday morning.

For more information and to buy tickets, call Laverne Buckman at 467-3467.

Sunday will be a very busy day at Mission San Miguel. Please remember the Fiesta Mass begins at 10 a.m., one hour earlier than usual.

At 3 p.m., the Vocal Arts Ensemble from San Luis Obispo will perform in the church. It would be a good idea to carpool for both events, as both will be very well attended.

Concert tickets are $15 and will be available at the door until seats are sold out.

The annual Benefit Golf Tournament for the continuing preservation of San Miguel Mission will be held Saturday, Oct. 22, at Paso Robles Golf Club. Sponsors are needed and welcome.

A few tickets are still available for a chance to win a beautiful golf cart.

For information, call the Mission office at 467-2131 during business hours, Don LaValle at 296-9588 or Gordon Marshall at 238-8842.

Librarian Judy said that San Miguel Library had a very successful summer reading program. The tote bags were delayed, but they are in.

The librarian suggests that readers who love to draw enter the Community Art Contest 2012, which is open to all ages.

The winning designs appear on the bags and contest winners receive $250.

Cloud Star donates the bags to the county library each year. It will be accepting entries from now until Dec. 13. Themes are “Dream Big: Read” and “Own the Night.” For more information, email design@cloudstar.com or inquire at your library.
