Chamber of Commerce group elects board

The San Miguel Chamber of Commerce Development Group met at 10th Street Café to enjoy food provided by Dallas Holt and elect a board of directors.

Special guests were Mike Gibson from the Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce, Linda Hendy from the Atascadero chamber, and Vicki Shelby, assistant to Supervisor Frank Mecham.

Six positions were filled: President and Secretary Miki Landseadel, board Chairman Jeff Marsden, Vice-Chair and Winery Liaison Raynette Gregory, Logistics Director Jodee Rowe, Director of Publicity Mike Sanders, and Employment Director Nelly Maldonado.

At present, the group is operating as a committee of the San Miguel Resource Connection.

On Sunday at 3 p.m. Symphony of the Vines will present a concert in memory of 9/11 at San Miguel Mission.

Admission ranges from $10 to $30 and tickets will be available at the door.

September Sundays are special along the Pleasant Valley Wine Trail east of San Miguel.

Purchase a souvenir glass for $10 and taste for free along the trail at participating wineries: Locatelli, Ranchita Canyon, J&J, Tackitt Family, Tassajara Cellars, First Crush, Silver Horse, and RiverStar Vineyards.

Diane Hahn, North County representative for the Central Coast Parkinson’s Support group announced Central Coat Follies will present its ninth annual benefit for Parkinson’s research, America the Beautiful, at the Clark Center in Arroyo Grande on Oct. 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, and 9.
