A 28-year-old Paso Robles man was arrested Sunday after allegedly leading the California Highway Patrol on a chase from Paso Robles to Morro Bay.

Brian Thomas Dill was riding a 2002 Harley-Davidson motorcycle south on Highway 101 near the intersection with Highway 46 when an officer attempted to stop him for a traffic violation, according to the CHP.

He drove onto the beach north of Morro Rock and became stuck in the sand. He was taken into custody at 10:10 p.m. without incident.

It was later determined that he was also wanted by Atascadero police for allegedly shooting at a vehicle earlier in the day.

He was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail on nine felony charges. He remained in custody as of Monday in lieu of $100,000 bail, according to jail records.
