Cal Fire brought the blaze under control shortly after 2 p.m. It was contained to 5 acres. Crews remain on the scene to put out hot spots and make sure no brush reignites.
The "Talley fire" at Huasna Road and Santa Domingo Road has burned 4 acres as of noon Friday, according to Cal Fire officials.

The blaze, which was first reported at 10 a.m., is being held in check by retardant dropped by aircraft, according to Cal Fire.
Due to difficult access to the area, crews are expected to be on scene for "an extended period of time."
Firefighters are responding to a brush fire reported near Talley Farms property at Lopez Lake Drive and Orcutt Road.
Initial reports from the responding crew is that the fire is burning on a ridgetop a mile off the road, and that about two acres appear to be burning.
