Four Atascadero teens were arrested Wednesday evening after they allegedly stole beer and liquor worth $124.55 from the Cookie Crock Market in Cambria.

Darren Cody Edmunson, 18; Joshua Arthur Bradshaw, 18; Timothy George Aragon, 19; and Guy Anthony Leonard, 18, were arrested on suspicion of burglary and conspiracy, all felonies, according to the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Department.

They all remained in County Jail this afternoon. Bail was not allowed for Edmunson, according to the Sheriff’s Department website; the others were being held in lieu of $20,000 bail.

“When someone enters a building with the intent to steal, and is also accompanied by others, it is considered a felony burglary and conspiracy, as opposed to a simple shoplift,” Sheriff’s Department spokesman Rob Bryn stated in a news release about the arrests.

According to Bryn, the teens entered the market at 1240 Knollwood Drive about 6:15 p.m. and loitered around the liquor department. Then, he said, they grabbed beer and liquor, ran out the front door and got into a green 1989 Chevrolet truck.

Detectives and patrol deputies spotted the truck after its description was broadcast, stopping it on Highway 1 near Villa Creek Road.

The property was returned to the market, Bryn said.
