A temporary traffic signal on Highway 46 West about four miles east of Highway 1 near the North County and North Coast areas will be in place through the summer as Caltrans repairs drainage pipes.
The traffic signal, installed April 29, is designed to allow motorists to drive through the area Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and contribute to the safety of highway workers and the public.
Motorists can expect up to 10-minute delays this week and up to 20-minute delays next week as traffic is allowed through on an alternating basis, according to Caltrans.
The contractor for the $800,000 project is R. Burke Construction of San Luis Obispo.
