Each day, dispatchers from the seven police departments in San Luis Obispo County take dozens of calls from residents seeking help for issues ranging from minor disputes to serious crimes. 6:09 p.m. April 17, 400 block of Ocean View Avenue in Pismo Beach
Someone reported that a person living up the street from her had shot her neighbor’s vehicle with a paint-ball gun about an hour before. She wanted to forward the information to police because the neighbor was not requesting a report, and was going to wash the paint off himself.
7:53 p.m. April 17, 890 Fourth St. in Pismo Beach
An employee at AM/PM said a man in a white Toyota was parked at one of the pumps. The man said he put money into the machine and was refusing to leave until the employee gave him a $10 bill. The employee told the man he could not open the machine and had no way of knowing how much money was put into it. The man was blocking other traffic and customers were becoming upset. Officers determined it was a civil issue.

4:22 a.m. April 18, 250 Main St. in Pismo Beach
A person at the Ocean Breeze Inn complained that a noisy street sweeper passed in front of the location three times.
12:08 p.m. April 18, 1000 Olive St. in San Luis Obispo
A 911 call was received from room 145 at the Ramada Inn. Front desk workers said that room was unoccupied.
8:21 p.m. April 18, police station in Pismo Beach
A man said he was staying at Motel 6 and someone stole his 6-week-old boxer puppy from his vehicle. He said the hotel staff knew about it and would not tell him who took the dog.

9:18 a.m. April 19, 3998 Broad St. in San Luis Obispo
A man was sleeping in the turn lane, creating a traffic hazard.

9:27 a.m. April 20, 208 Madonna Road in San Luis Obispo
A man reportedly threatened to burn down Denny’s.
4:55 p.m. April 20, 100 Stimson Ave. in Pismo Beach
An employee at the Sandcastle Inn received a tip that about 30 kids were going to crash the Jacuzzi.
8:19 p.m. April 20, 3591 Sacramento St. in San Luis Obispo
Someone reported that a group of neighbors were possibly fire dancing after they were seen with lit pieces of wood.
