Mission Community Bank, a locally operated bank based in San Luis Obispo, has a new executive vice president and chief credit officer.
Robert Stevens will oversee the bank’s credit portfolio, including the development and implementation of loan policies. He will manage the credit quality and profitability of the bank’s loan portfolio, as well.
Stevens has had a varied banking career. In 2009, he retired from Rabobank International, where he had been executive vice president and chief credit officer of Rabobank, N.A. He then joined a boutique investment-banking firm, The Food Partners in Washington, D.C., where he was a principal until joining Mission Community.
Stevens is a graduate of Santa Clara University, where he earned a master’s degree in business administration in agribusiness. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of San Francisco.
