Clovis men arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary after being seen near Pismo home

Two Clovis residents were arrested today after a caller in Pismo Beach reported seeing two men acting suspiciously around a residence.

Dylan Daniel Aust, 24, and Michael Blake, 23, were arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary, possession of burglary tools, conspiracy to commit burglary, possession of a controlled substance, being under the influence of a controlled substance and felons being in possession of pepper spray, according to the Pismo Beach Police Department.

Aust was also charged with driving while under the influence of a controlled substance.

The incident started about 11:45 a.m., when a caller in the 1300 block of Costa Del Sol tried to confront one of the men, according to police. Both of the men then ran toward a vehicle and drove away at a high rate of speed.

Pismo Beach police responded and made a traffic stop on the vehicle.

Aust and Blake were booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail; an online jail log did not show that either one remained in custody this afternoon.
