Youngsters with the Boys & Girls Club of North San Luis Obispo County took part in interactive lessons for Earth Day on Thursday using compost bins, Smart cars and recycled materials.

During the spring break event, Paso Robles Waste & Recycle Operations Manager Ian Hoover showed the kids which items commonly used and seen at the club are recyclable.

The waste and recycling company also donated a compost bin to the club so members can compost food waste to use in their community garden.
