3:24 p.m. April 10, Campbell Lane in Atascadero
A resident reported a shopping cart in front of a house. The person was concerned a transient might be living there. Officers said the residence checked out OK.
Guessing there’s a good reason
1 p.m. April 11, 6005 El Camino Real in Atascadero
A man said he was staying at the Carlton Hotel until the 28th, and they would not allow him to return to the bar or the restaurant. All parties were contacted and advised; the man said he would leave the business.
One of them will show us the way!
3:41 p.m. April 11, Capistrano and Lewis avenues in Atascadero
A person said two people on bikes were looking at children. Officers contacted the pair, who said they were looking for a public restroom.
Who, what, where?
9:42 a.m. April 12, 1417 Riverside Ave. in Paso Robles
A man called Paso Robles police from Iraq, saying subjects were using his wife’s email account to have drugs sent to 1417 Riverside Ave. Officers said there is no such address.
Did he bark?
9:56 a.m. April 12, 6300 block of Santa Ynez Avenue in Atascadero
A resident said a man looked over her fence and talked to her dog that morning, and did the same the day before at 4 a.m. Officers advised the resident of her options.
Curse of the baby face
3:51 p.m. April 12, 545 12th St. in Paso Robles
A man was at a bank, sitting at the deposit counter, and looked very young. He said he was from a security company and was wearing a sidearm and asking questions about the ATMs. The man said he would wait for a Paso Robles police officer to arrive. The bank employee called back to cancel; the man’s identity had been confirmed.
Stuck on the path
6:43 p.m. April 12, 8900 block of Curbaril Avenue in Atascadero
A resident said a stepping stone was taken from his yard.
Just say no
7:53 p.m. April 12, 2927 Spring St. in Paso Robles
A needle and spoon were located in the bathroom at Señor Sanchos. An employee asked an officer to take the items for destruction.
12:46 p.m. April 13, 8655 Santa Rosa Road in Atascadero
A person reported a suspicious male subject wearing a white skull mask and a tan overcoat with a hood on in the elementary school parking lot. Police arrested the 15-year-old for allegedly being in possession of a switchblade.
Failing to see the service part of that project
1:24 p.m. April 13, 9805 El Camino Real in Atascadero
A resident said two suspicious male subjects came to the door and said they were trying to practice their public speaking as a community service project.
10:28 p.m. April 13, 900 Patria Circle in Atascadero
A resident called the police department to find out why a police car was parked in front of their house. The resident was told an officer was checking on a car alarm going off in the neighborhood.
Tow and go
11:47 p.m. April 13, 5030 Olmeda Ave. in Atascadero
A resident reported a noisy truck across the street. It was determined to be a tow truck dropping off a vehicle. It left the area.
1:36 p.m. April 14, 5983 Entrada Ave. in Atascadero
A person reported a woman selling purses out of her vehicle. Officers determined she was delivering to a nearby business.
8:18 p.m. April 16, 5566 Tunitas Ave. in Atascadero
A resident said the upstairs neighbors were yelling at each other. The subjects checked out OK; they were playing video games.
