San Luis Obispo County 3rd District Supervisor Adam Hill signaled his intention today to seek a second term by announcing his kickoff re-election campaign event.
A $25-per-person gathering will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on May 6 at 743 Pacific St. in San Luis Obispo.
Hill said the five members of the San Luis Obispo City Council are backing him and will serve as the “official welcoming committee” at the event.
The fund-raising will begin a campaign that culminates in the election in June 2012.
Since being elected in 2008, Hill has been part of a slow-growth majority on the Board of Supervisors. More recently, he has helped lead efforts to create a new women’s jail and a center for homeless services. He currently is chairman of the board.
