The National Weather Service has issued a small-craft advisory for the waters off the Central Coast through 6 p.m. and rain and wind continue in the region.
The advisory covers the area between Point Piedras Blancas north of Cambria to Point Arguello in northern Santa Barbara County.
Forecasters warn that southwest winds 15 to 20 knots, with frequent gusts to 25 knots are expected in the region.
Also, combined seas 9 to 11 feet, with a dominant period of 13 seconds are expected to make conditions hazardous overnight.

A small-craft advisory means that winds of 21 to 33 knots are expected to produce hazardous wave conditions to small vessels. Inexperienced mariners are advised to avoid navigating in these conditions.
