A Jeep was flooded out while trying to cross a low spot on Los Palos Road north of Durango Road in Atascadero on Friday.
Ryan Amborn and R.J. Michael helped tow the stranded Jeep out. They work for West Coast Auto & Towing, the AAA tow company for the area. Road closure signs are posted.
The night before, rescuers from County/Cal Fire were summoned to the Running Deer Ranch area near Nacimiento Lake after a vehicle was stuck in a creek crossing.
About 7:20 p.m. Thursday, rescuers found the vehicle in the water. Though its occupants were able to get to dry land, they were still surrounded by water, according to Cal Fire.
The two occupants were pulled to safety and awaited a ride in a battalion chief’s truck. No one was injured.
Local residents helped with towing the truck out of the creek, according to Cal Fire.
