Arroyo Grande officials have established a reward fund for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the cross burning that happened about 12:30 a.m. last Friday outside a black teenager’s bedroom window.
City officials decided to do so after the city and the Arroyo Grande Police Department received many offers of donations from county residents.
Police are investigating the incident as an arson and hate crime.
Individuals or organizations may donate to the “Justice for All in Arroyo Grande” fund by mailing or dropping off a check or cash to the city at 300 E. Branch St., Arroyo Grande, CA 93420, according to a news release.
