A man is trapped on the roof of his truck in the rain-swollen Huer Huero Creek in rural east Paso Robles, according to Cal Fire.
Emergency crews are working to rescue the driver of a red Toyota 4x4 stuck in the creek off Sandy Creek Road and Linne Road. The area appears to be a creek crossing that's been washed out. The incident was reported at 11:27 a.m.
Personnel from the Paso Robles Fire Department, Cal Fire and CHP are on the scene.
The American Red Cross advises people to avoid driving through flooded roads, as most cars can be swept away by less than two feet of moving water.
