Paso Robles police looking for man after stabbings at downtown bar

Two men were stabbed during a bar fight in Paso Robles early Saturday morning, according to Paso Robles police.

Police were dispatched to the Pine Street Saloon at 1234 Pine St. at 12:15 a.m. Saturday where they found a 26-year-old man with a single stab wound to the right rib area. Police later learned that a second 26-year-old man was being treated for a stab wound to the upper torso. Neither victim’s wounds are considered life-threatening.

Witnesses told police that the stabbings occurred after a fight broke out between eight men in the rear of the bar. The suspect is identified as a thin man wearing a black shirt.

Police are requesting the public’s help in determining the identity of the suspect and motive for the attacks. People with information are asked to call (800) 549-7867.
