Two in car reportedly point shotgun at, demand money from man in downtown SLO

Two men in an older Mercedes pointed a shotgun at a man in San Luis Obispo on Sunday night, demanding that he give them all his money, according to police.

At 9:54 p.m., a 25-year-old San Luis Obispo man was walking near Marsh and Nipomo streets when two men in a 1990s white Mercedes pointed a shotgun at him and demanded cash, according to a news release from the San Luis Obispo Police Department. The man handed over an undisclosed amount of money, and the suspects drove away.

The men in the car are described as white men between the ages of 20 and 30, and were wearing black hooded sweatshirts.

As of 1 a.m., the suspects were still on the loose, according to police. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 781-7317.
