Crash slows southbound Hwy. 101 traffic near Monterey Street in SLO

A semi-truck overturned just past the southbound Monterey Street offramp in San Luis Obispo on Monday morning, slowing morning commuter traffic.

The semi overturned at 6:21 a.m., according to the CHP. The driver, who was reportedly not injured, was able to get out and put up cones around the crash before emergency officials arrived.

The slow lane is expected to be blocked until after 8:30 a.m. as the truck and trailer are cleared off the roadway. The fast lane and the Monterey Street offramp were open for most of the morning, although the off-ramp was closed briefly around 8 a.m. as the trailer was removed from the area.
