Clear, springlike weather is forecast across the Central Coast today and will continue well into next week.
Both the National Weather Service and local forecaster John Lindsey say building high pressure will mean warmer-than-normal days through about Wednesday.
The high pressure will sit just off the California coast, and “this condition will force the storm track northward and will produce a spring type of weather pattern,” said Lindsey, a communications specialist with PG&E.
Normal highs for mid-January are the mid-60s in San Luis Obispo. But today the high in San Luis Obispo is forecast to be about 71 degrees, and highs near 70 are predicted to continue through Wednesday.
Overnight lows will also be mild, ranging in the 40s countywide.
