Wendy White, the county’s probation business manager, was honored as the 2010 Probation Business Managers Association’s Employee of the Year at the group’s quarterly meeting in Sacramento.
The association lauded White for her “significant contributions to the profession, such as providing invaluable insight into the various funding streams that are vital to probation (and) providing her superior knowledge and training to her fellow business managers.”
White, according to an association news release, “has made exemplary contributions to her profession during a time when many probation business managers throughout the state have struggled with significant reductions in funding streams and support staff, as well as increases in reporting requirements.”
She has been employed by the county Probation Department since June of 1997 and is currently president of the Probation Business Managers’ Association.
