Parents giving new bicycles to their children for Christmas, be advised: Your happy kids can ride in dry weather Saturday morning, but rain could arrive by 1 p.m.
Local forecaster John Lindsey says a cold front making its way down the California coast will pass over San Luis Obispo County between 1 and 4 p.m. on Saturday. Moderate showers are expected, with 1.25 inches falling in San Luis Obispo. Coastal mountains could get up to 2 inches, while the North County will see less than an inch.
The rain will turn to showers on Sunday, and conditions will be cool this weekend, with highs just in the 50s in North County and near 60 in San Luis Obispo.
Dry weather returns Monday and Tuesday, but another fast-moving storm is expected on Tuesday night and into Wednesday. Once it clears out, strong winds and cooler-than-normal temperatures will be the forecast into New Year’s Day.
