Complaints about drug activity lead to the arrest of two in Grover Beach

Two people were arrested Sunday morning after a special enforcement team from the Grover Beach Police Department conducted a probation search in the 1600 block of Longbranch Avenue.

Police conducted the search at 7 a.m. following complaints of illegal narcotics activity.

Officers arrested 30-year-old Daniel Johnson and 24-year-old Keith Steel on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of drug paraphernalia, under the influence of a controlled substance, maintaining a place where a controlled substance is used, possession of a hypodermic needle, and conspiracy.
