The National Weather Service has extended its flood advisory for San Luis Obispo County through 11 p.m. tonight as instances of widespread ponding and flooding have been reported in low-lying areas and intersections throughout the area.
Though gauges are indicating that the intensity of hourly rainfall has lowered a bit, according to the Weather Service, that flooding, along with rockslides and debris falling, could affect roads.
Authorities have responded to dozens of rain-related road incidents throughout the day, including felled trees, debris, autos stuck in water and spinouts on slick roads.
Rain is expected to continue at least through Wednesday, with another storm following the current system on Tuesday, according to weather forecasters.
