Teams from eight Central Coast high schools showed off their robots Wednesday night in the South County after receiving a total of $3,900 in scholarships.
Among the recipients were the robotics teams from the following schools: Arroyo Grande High, Atascadero High, Mission College Prep, Nipomo High and San Luis Obispo High. Recipients outside San Luis Obispo County were Orcutt Academy in Orcutt, St. Joseph High School in Santa Maria and Cabrillo High School in Lompoc. Teams presented their robotic programs and creations at a meeting of the Central Coast Software and Technology Association, known as Softec, in Shell Beach.
