With a 52-19 win over visiting Chaminade High School of West Hills on Saturday, the Arroyo Grande High football team is going back to a CIF-Southern Section divisional title game for the first time since 2000, looking to win its first championship since 1997.

Arroyo Grande quarterback Brent Vanderveen broke the game open with an 80-yard touchdown run on the first play from scrimmage in the second half at Doug Hitchen Stadium.

Meanwhile, Templeton saw its longest Southern Section playoff run since moving from the Central Section in 2006 end with a 35-7 loss at home to South Torrance.
