Expect more cold temperatures along the Central Coast as cold air from the north moves into the region thanks to a southward flowing jet stream.

Expect some sprinkles or rain showers on Saturday as a cold front passes over the area in the afternoon, according to local forecaster John Lindsey of PG&E. But that will mainly bring strong to gale-force northwesterly winds (35 to 38 mph).

The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory for the Central Coast, including a freeze warning in the interior valleys — both through 9 a.m. today.
