Firefighters investigated a possible gas leak Tuesday evening in Paso Robles, but found nothing.
The Paso Robles Fire Department began receiving calls at 4:49 p.m. about an odor of natural gas or propane at numerous locations throughout the city. The department received a total of ten reports.
Firefighters from the Paso Robles Fire Department and County/ Cal Fire spent more than an hour searching but were unable to find the source of the smell. They also used specialized detectors to determine if a flammable atmosphere existed; no flammable atmospheres were detected.
Representatives from Southern California Gas, Union Pacific Railroad and fixed propanefacilities reported that they were not experiencing any leaks, authorities said.
