A 14-year-old Oceano boy is in critical condition after he apparently fell from a railroad bridge Monday.
The boy was playing with his younger brother on the train tracks near 22nd Street in Oceano at 3:30 p.m. when a train approached, according to a news release from the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Department.
The two boys ran across the bridge, but the older boy is thought to have fallen as the train went by. He was found lying near the tracks with a head injury, and was going in and out of consciousness.
Another youth saw what happened and called 911, according to the news release.
