A Grover Beach woman accused of drunken driving was arrested after a crash in San Luis Obispo that sent two people to the hospital early Sunday, according to police.

Melissa Hernandez, 24, drove a 2008 Saturn Astra the wrong way on the one-way portion of Higuera Street between Broad and Nipomo streets, police said. Her car crashed head-on with a 2005 Ford Expedition, according to police.

The driver of the Expedition, Tony Davis, 35, of Paso Robles, and his passenger, Sone Ross Jr., 35, of San Miguel, suffered minor injuries and were treated at a local hospital.

Police say Hernandez had been drinking before the crash. She was arrested on suspicion of felony driving under the influence causing injury. She remained in County Jail on Sunday night, where she was being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
